Do you remember Patrick? We introduced him a few months ago. He"s the man who had a serious accident at his workplace. He was paralyzed for several months and now he is slowly regaining his previous range of motion. He will probably be almost completely healthy soon. He has decided to do something extraordinary: get a driving licence. He has just passed his theory test. Now he is preparing for his practical driving examination. Patrick says it was difficult to find an instructor who would not mind his disability. He needed a special car and it turned out not all driving centres had such cars. Most of the schools in his area were unprepared to accept a disabled student. But Patrick finally found an instructor in a nearby town and started his lessons. He"s still taking them to prepare for his exam. ‘He is one of the best students, always focused on what he is doing", his instructor says. Patrick has just passed his theory test so now he can book his practical driving test. He hopes to take it in two or three weeks" time. As soon as he gets his driving licence, he is going to buy a car. He hopes that this will increase his chances of getting a new job. He does not want to return to the place where the accident occurred.
