One of our local day care centres is soon going to move into a new house. The old premises are too big for the centre and the rent is definitely too high, so the founder has made a decision to move to a much smaller house near the town centre. What is more, the centre is now going to accept fifteen children only. There was enough space for thirty children at the old house, but unfortunately there are less and less babies and toddlers in our town, so only one group will be created. An advertisement has just appeared in our local newspaper. The centre is trying to sell fifteen new, unused cot mattress beds with mattresses and blankets. The beds were bought two years ago, when the employees still hoped more children would attend their centre. But these beds were in fact never used. They are sold at a much lower price than similar beds found at furniture shops or stores with accessories for kids. I guess the centre needs money so they hope that they will sell the beds more quickly if they offer them at reasonable prices. I guess they are right. Two of my friends, who are expecting children, have already made an appointment to see the cot mattress beds. It"s a good opportunity to get quality stuff really cheap.
